MEGAFLORA No.2 by Jocelyn Marsh
Contemporary
United States
A surreal bloom suspended in time – MEGAFLORA No.2 transforms a dried, metal-plated flower into a crystalline relic. Submerged in treated water, the flower becomes enveloped in vibrant blue crystals, fusing organic form with geological wonder. The result is a specimen that feels both unearthed and otherworldly.
Jocelyn Marsh is a Los Angeles-based artist whose practice spans installation, sculpture, and lighting design. Her work conjures a world where life and death are not opposites, but companions—intertwined at the edge of the unknown. Central to her practice is the void that causes mixed emotions throughout the world: a liminal space of both loss and possibility. Drawing from the belief that everything is born from nothingness, Marsh creates pieces that feel like relics from another realm, suspended in time and transformation. Through delicate materials and intricate detail, she channels reverence, wonder, and a quiet kind of magic—inviting viewers to step closer and slip momentarily into the space between worlds.
