Daniel Shapiro’s Squiggle #111 is hand-built using California stoneware through a combination of ceramic techniques. Elements are thrown on the wheel, or extruded, then painstakingly assembled to create a one-of-a-kind form. Once constructed, texture and 24k gold are added creating its unique appearance.

While each Squiggle Lamp is similar in concept they are all unique in form and finish. The process of building the lamps is its own creative journey, with the end result being a personality of its own.
