Drawing inspiration from the sound waves produced by the gentle cooing sounds of Daniel’s newborn son, Eames, the WhaWha Lamp is crafted from 30 extruded patterns. Each piece is meticulously scored, slipped, with the assistance of laser guides. Upon bisque firing, the central support structure is carefully removed, unveiling the lamp’s final form, ready for glazing.
Although every WhaWha Lamp shares a common conceptual foundation, the crafting process for each piece is a distinctive journey. This results in a unique piece, marked by its individual number. Available in a variety of finishes, these lamps are customizable through commissioned orders.
