Sales Assistant

We are seeking a Sales Assistant to support our San Francisco sales team.

This is a junior role focused on supporting the sales team while developing the knowledge and skills required to grow into a sales position. It is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with an interest in interior design and luxury furnishings who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic showroom environment.

The Sales Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the sales team with client communications, operational coordination, and showroom organization. The position offers the opportunity to develop industry knowledge and sales skills, with the potential to grow into a Sales Executive role over time for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-moving client-focused environment. A strong sense of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and team collaboration are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior sales team members with client communications, quotes, and order coordination
• Assist with client inquiries in person, via phone, and through email
• Prepare product information, images, and pricing for client presentations
• Maintain accurate records within the company CRM system
• Assist with order entry, follow-up, and coordination with operations and customer service teams
• Maintain showroom organization, visual standards, and product displays
• Assist with inventory tracking and basic inventory procedures
• Support the team during client meetings, gallery events, and industry activations
• Provide general administrative and operational support to the sales team

Qualifications

• Previous sales or client-facing experience preferred
• Interest in interior design, furniture, or decorative arts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional appearance and engaging personality
• Strong email and phone etiquette
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Passion for interior design, decorative arts, architecture, and collectible design
• Experience with design software (AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, WordPress) is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of inventory processes or CRM systems is a plus
• Ability to work on the showroom floor for extended periods and lift small items up to 50 lbs
