Daniel Shapiro’s Squiggle #211 is hand-built using California stoneware through a combination of ceramic techniques. Elements are thrown on the wheel, or extruded, then painstakingly assembled to create a one-of-a-kind form. Once the piece has gone through the bisque fire, thousands of glaze droplets are applied by hand.
