Founded in 2004 by Darin Geise, COUP D’ETAT is a design gallery operating outside the conventions of the traditional showroom. With locations in San Francisco and Los Angeles, the gallery presents a highly edited mix of rare antiques, vintage furniture, contemporary design, and one-of-a-kind works by artists and artisans from around the world. Each piece is selected for its clarity of form, material integrity, and point of view.
